Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal information The Beauty Bar collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We are a small clinic and we keep this as simple as we can.
Who we are
The Beauty Bar, 5 Fairwater Square, Cwmbran, NP44 4TA. We are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at info@thebeautybarcwmbran.co.uk or on 07720 642037.
What we collect through this website
- Enquiry form. Your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and whatever you write in your message.
- Email signups. Your name and email address when you join our mailing list through the offer on this site.
We do not take payments or store card details on this website, and we do not ask for health or medical information here. Any skin or health information you share with us in clinic is handled separately as part of your treatment records, and is kept confidential.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To answer your enquiry. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, namely replying to someone who has contacted us.
- To send you offers and skin tips by email. Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you sign up. You can withdraw it at any time.
Who else is involved
A few trusted companies process information on our behalf:
- Netlify hosts this website and receives enquiry form submissions.
- Flodesk manages our mailing list and sends our emails.
- Google Workspace provides our email.
- Google Maps supplies the map on our Visit page. If you view that page, Google may set cookies and receive your IP address.
- Booksy runs our online booking. When you click to book you leave this website, and Booksy's own privacy notice applies.
Some of these companies are based outside the UK. Where information is transferred abroad, it is protected by the safeguards set out in UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for up to two years so we have a record of our conversation. Mailing list details are kept until you unsubscribe, and we remove people who have not opened our emails for a long time. Client treatment records are kept for longer, as required for insurance and professional standards.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in every email, or by telling us. Just email info@thebeautybarcwmbran.co.uk and we will sort it out.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our email signup form and the map on the Visit page are provided by Flodesk and Google, and those may set cookies of their own when they load.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
